The Jefferson IGA, located at 2 Highway 2 West in Whitehall, is the town's only full service grocery store. Owners Don and Diana Burton, who have a combined 50 years experience in the grocery industry, purchased the store May of 2000. Formerly TGs Market, Jefferson IGA has been in business for a total of 25 years.

Meat department manager Levi Jones is ready to find the perfect cut, while Michael Clark, produce manager, will help compliment the meal with fresh produce. Misty Denny, deli/bakery manager, is available to prepare meat and cheese trays as well as decorate a beautiful cake. Beverly Jensen, customer service manager, and Tamara Uehling, store manager, are there to make sure every visit goes as smoothly as possible.

Groceries, health care items, fresh meat, produce, deli, bakery, video rentals, dry cleaning, fax & copy service, Rug Doctor rentals and flowers make Jefferson IGA a well-rounded store with a little bit of everything for everyone.

The Burtons had worked in management with Safeway before coming to Montana, always dreaming of owning their own small town grocery store.

"We love southwest Montana and when this store became available for purchase, we jumped at the chance. The rest is history!" says Don.
